The challenge

The University of Wollongong prides itself on being driven by brave thinking and meaningful action that takes society forward. With a 5 year global strategic plan having been unveiled in early 2020, an opportunity to refresh and reaffirm the university with such credentials was identified. The challenge was to assess which parts of an established brand system should be evolved to reflect an institution focused on the bigger ‘why’ for society and helping people find their purpose in life.


The result

We developed a digital playbook that touched on every aspect of the refreshed brand, from brand story and voice through to motion principles, graphic assets and functional templates.

Working closely with the in house team, we developed a flexible identity system underpinned by dynamic UOW framework. Adapting itself across multiple formats it serves to frame the subject and reinforce a fearless pursuit of purpose.
